Ridolfo and Domenico Ghirlandaio at the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence in Italy
Domenico Ghirlandaio, a painter valued by Laurent de Medici, was the Master of Michelangelo.He left many works in Florence and Rome, where he was sent by Laurent de Medici, together with Botticelli and Perugino, to paint frescoes in the Sistine Chapel.
Ridolfo Ghirlandaio, also a good painter, was trained by his uncle because he was very young (11 years old) when his father Domenico died.
They both participated in the decoration of the Palazzo Vecchio.
Domenico has created a large fresco in the “Sala dei Gigli”, Lilies room, then his son Ridolfo will be responsible for decorating and painting the priors' chapel and the frescoes of the Green Room.
